14 MILLION SWEATERS (AND COUNTING)

Over the years, we’ve somehow managed to knit more than 14 million lambswool sweaters.

That’s right, 14 million. Each one patiently stitched, obsessively checked, and quietly proud of itself for existing.

We don’t just make sweaters, we set the standard.

OVER 23,000 BAGS OF THE GOOD STUFF

Over the last century, we’ve spun more than 23,000 bags of lambswool into yarn. Not polyester, not plastic, just pure, natural fibre. Each bag begins its journey at  Z. Hinchliffe & Sons’ Mill in Yorkshire, where generations of craftspeople have turned raw fleece into something extraordinary.

The result? Yarn with heritage woven in, ready to become sweaters that are as timeless as the hills those sheep grazed on.

THAT’S MORE THAN A BUSLOAD OF WOOL

More than 42,000,000 kilograms of pure lambswool. That’s right, forty-two [million. Try carrying that home from the shops.

To put it another way, it’s the woolly equivalent of 350 London double-deckers, all spun into sweaters that somehow still feel light on your shoulders.

A subtle nod to British tradition, without ever feeling heavy.

[

OUR LAMBSWOOL GARMENTS WEIGH BETWEEN 300G – 600G, THAT’S ABOUT 4,200 TONNES ≈ 350 BUSES OR 8,400 TONNES ≈ 700 BUSES.

1.5 LAMBS = ONE LEGENDARY SWEATER

It takes about one and a half lambs to make a single sweater. No, we didn’t miscount. That’s the finest wool; soft, warm, breathable, and entirely free of synthetic nonsense.

Slip it on and you’ll immediately wonder why you ever settled for anything less. Bonus: it won’t itch, scratch, or stage a minor rebellion against your torso.

A WOOL STORY LIKE NO OTHER

14 million sweaters. 21 million lambs. Roughly 70% of the UK’s sheep population.

Yes, that’s a lot of sheep; grazing, strolling, probably judging you from afar, and somehow, from all that wool, each sweater ends up exactly where it should be: keeping you warm and ridiculously comfortable.

FILLING WEMBLEY STADIUM

Packed into Wembley Stadium, 21 million lambs would fill it more than 3,000 times. Imagine that: a stadium of sheep, slightly chaotic, loud, and fluffy.

Guaranteed to stand above the crowd, each sweater is destined to be the perfect match for whoever reaches for it — soft, warm, and reliably ready for whatever the day throws at you.

[

AT 1 M² PER SHEEP, WEMBLEY STADIUM’S 7,140 M² PITCH WOULD BE FILLED ALMOST 3,000 TIMES.

A 6,972,280-MILE WOOLLY JOURNEY

Stretch out the yarn of all 14 million sweaters, and it would circle the Earth 280 times — that’s 6,972,280 miles of pure lambswool. Each sweater represents its own epic journey: from carefully spun yarn in Yorkshire to the patient hands that link every stitch.

When you pull one over your head, you join that story — taking a small but essential step in a very long, very warm adventure that spans continents and generations.
